Very nice J.C. Higgins Model 312.39550 Unispin rod & reel. It is my understanding that these were made for Sears by Bronson, and this gold version was only sold in the Sears 1964 Spring & Summer catalogue. If you're not familiar, the reel is mounted on the rod and the push button for the reel is on the opposite side of the handle (see the photos). This was probably pretty much state of the art in '64. I know I didn't have anything this nice to fish with then. The rod is about 6... 1/2 feet long. Don't let it get away!
