Undoubtably they originated from the banks vaults and were old unissued stock that had not been destroyed. These are usually the notes that one sees for sale and all of them have the prefix A/12 wit...h serial numbers from 599001 upwards. Any notes that have a lower prefix than this and are uncirculated are very scarce notes indeed. Before these stock notes hit the market this note was a very hard note to obtain in original Unc.This note is one of those very rare survivors.
