It belonged to my late Grandfather Dr Walter B. Jones, who was a PHD, naturalist, conservationist, geologist and ardent duck hunter. He gave this call to me around 1978. At the time I was hunting a lot on our family place in the flooded woods of North Alabama. The cord is WW II parachute cord my Grandfather kept around the camp. The small band is from a woody. It absolutely breaks my heart to sell this call as I have counted it among my most prized possessions since hanging it up as I ...moved on and now no longer hunt., but my kids aren’t into it and have zero appreciation for what it represents. It’s not fair to just let it hang in a closet. It’s one of those things you might imagine to have a soul, a destiny. It needs to move on, to get back to those cold, quiet mornings, the sound of hip boots breaking through the thin ice, the anticipation of shooting time, and the whistling sound of wings overhead.
