This is one eye catching owl! No matter where you hang it, this will be seen! and will mesmerize the looker...Titled on the back "WOWL FLOWER" and signed "Reid" (Bill Reid) this very rare, one of a kind and awesome outsider 3 dimensional outsider art sculpture measures 25" H x 34" W and comes out from the wall appx 8 inches at the wing tips. The body of the Wowl comes out appx 6 inches...this is one great big horned Wowl ! The metal throughout is sturdy, in tact, no rust or breaks etc.... The paint is exceptionally nice as well...see all close up images for details. The designs and elements of this piece have you amazed, all themed towards nature...the rat with the cheese at the heart is fantastic and measure appx 5" H x 4" W...superb workmanship and detail. Would guess overall weight about 9-10 pounds...I was able to hang it myself, and I am female and 70! The wing were fashioned by Reid with metal, thick iron wire and he made his won wire holders to keep each plate in place. A couple were loose, so I easily tightened...this is an earlier Bill Reid piece, I believe, and would be fun to contact him once in hand to get the background on its creation and date. I am sure he would well remember his Wowl Flower! Shipped by location...carefully packaged and sent Fed Ex (best service and cost from my experience with art pieces)
