This unique three-some have stuffed cloth bodies and faces made of composite or plastic. Each of the dolls is marked “Poland” on the back of a leg. Their long legs bend at top of legs for sitting position - or doing the splits. Faces are painted, eyes do not close. Hair is only along edge of forehead on the two dolls with scarves, doll with light yellow hat has full hair. Dolls with scarves are 11 inches long, the doll with the hat is 12 inches.
These dol...ls were part of a doll collection from the 1950s, late 40s and early 60s. Actual age unknown. They have been with one owner, in clean and dry storage for about 50 years, non-smoking household. Fabric and stitching in good condition.
These dolls and others were donated to a Corvallis, Oregon P.E.O. chapter to support fundraising efforts for women’s scholarships. The dolls belonged to one of the chapter’s members, who was more interested in outdoor pursuits than dolls, so the dolls were mostly on display when she was growing up.
All net proceeds from the sale will go to the chapter’s scholarship fund. P.E.O. is an international women’s non-profit philanthropic educational organization that provides scholarships and low-cost loans for college women.
