Original Description:
This Telescope was made by either William Cary or his nephews George & John who took the business over in 1825. The telescope would originally have had a stitched leather or similar cladding on the main barrel and I think the eyepiece cup is a later replacement.
But still a fine piece by one of the greats, so grab yourself a bit of maritime history.
