This is Technical Manual TM 11-410, The Homing Pigeon. It is an extremely rare manual, which provides instructions for proper breeding, care, and training of the homing pigeon, and for the selection and training of enlisted pigeoneers. During WWII, the Homing Pigeon was still used for messenger service on the battlefield.
This manual is 83 pages in length and is dated January 1945, issued by the US War Department. It is in good overall condition - as can be ...seen from the photos, some surgery in the form of tape to the covers along the spine was performed a long time ago. Pages are tanned due to aging but are clean, tight, and unmarked. Manual measures 9.25" in L x 6" in W. Table of Contents included in photos.
