All of the speakers are working with issues. They're very loud, sound is excellent. Despite thier small size (8.5 D, 11 W, 15.5 H), they weigh about 27lb each. Physically They're in good condition, minor scratches- blemishes but nothing major. Real wood veneer, so can be renewed if desired. The power input has been replaced with modern 3 prong sockets.Speaker # 2 name tag is broke and the letter S is missing, upper grill has a tiny hole. 1 switch cap is missing form the back. .I...ssue:
- all speakers produce a humming noise only when the source sound is not playing, or playing with very low volume. The humming noise becomes louder if the speakers built in volume is increased.
- There is a standby switch, when activated the speakers are supposed to shutoff when the input source is shutoff. This function doesn't work on 2 of the speakers ( 2 and 3). Speakers (1 -4) standby works but inconsistently, when tested with 2 different receivers, the shutoff worked fine with one receiver, but not the other, kind weird.Finally, speakers can be used as is, they're functional in terms of sound, power, channels.
