Antique German Bisque Head Baby Doll 25” George BorgfeldtThis is a very large baby doll, 25 inches, with a bisque head, blue glass sleep eyes, open mouth, two teeth, five piece Composition baby body. The dolls head is marked GB 13. I have examined the head with a lightbulb inside and there are no cracks or hairlines. I see some kind of a repair on the toes shown in a close-up and some type of repainting on one arm or lots of strange cleaning?. I thoroughly cleaned the dolls head but ...did not attempt to do anything on the composition body. I will leave that up to the new owner. She has a mohair wig with pate which I did not try to style in anyway. She will come with a cotton slip Batiste dress, Edwardian baby’s coat, homemade bonnet, socks and baby shoes. Everything is clean with no odors. Feel free to ask any questions. This is a wonderful example of a delightful character face baby! She will come carefully packaged and the head stuffed to prevent the eyes from moving. I will most likely need to remove her arms. I will supply some new elastic cording to reattach them after you receive the doll.(easy fix)
