Vintage/Antique Art Deco pendant. (Please read below)The chain seem to be a later period.Stone: Purple color paste stone (Czech glass)Necklace chain: 19" inch long. Pendant: 3" inch long with the bail.Excellent pre-owned condition.About "Vintage" and "Antique"The reason why we mentioned both words is because the piece is very old, and it may apply to both definitions.According to Ebay guidelines, you can call "antique" a piece crafted in the 1930's back to the beginnin...g of time.And you can call "Vintage" a piece crafted from the 1930's until 1980's.Because of the metal cast, design and stone, this pendant could be an Art Deco or a later period pendant, like 1940's or 1950's.The cast seem to be a pewter alloy.The stone is not crystal but a paste stone. Around that time, they used glass stones. Because of the war most stones, unless it was a very expensive piece of jewelry, were made with beautiful glass stones from Czechoslovakia. And last, the design of the piece itself, looks like it may be an Art Deco or earlier, you can even see some Art Nouveaufloral accents. Or it may also be a Revival Art Deco piece.
