DescriptionUnusual carved ox horn lidded snuff box. Made in the late 18th or early 19th Century in England.Not marked but guaranteed to be an early and original piece (base photographed below).There is a small chip to the horn to one side of the snuff box, three chips around the rim of the lid (can be seen in photographs) and some corrosion to the loop handled, commensurate with age. Otherwise, it is in good condition with no other chips, cracks or restoration.It measur...es approximately 1½" in height by 2⅛" in length.
