F. Solyer Galveston Texas TX Blob Squat Soda Bottle 1860’s Rare

Here we have an aqua blown inmold/applied lip bottle embossed on the front “F. Solyer/Galveston/Texas” andembossed on the back with a large double lined “S”. Bottle is 7-1/16” tall and 2-1/2” in diameterand is very good condition with a few scratches and some very light interiorhaze but no other issues. Really one ofthe best condition examples I have ever seen of this very rare bottle.
Louis Francis Solyer was born in Zanesville, Ohio in 1842 and died in Galv...eston, Texas in 1932. Starting around 1868 he had a fruit and sodawater stand on Market Street in Galveston, Texas. The last listing for him selling soda was in1880 and later years show him as a furniture mover. He had 4 different bottles made over those ~12years and I believe these to be the earliest of the bottles, likely dating tothe late 1860’s.
