VINTAGE (1) J. SAINSBURY'S, LONDON, POTTED MEATS, (2) C.W. PLUMTREE, SOUTHPORT & (3) FOURNISSEUR, MOUTARDE De MAILLE, DIGOIN SARREGUEMINES, JARS or POTS that date back to the early c1900s that have been found buried in a domestic rubbish tip a few years ago. The pots measure from the left hand side to the right 6.5cm, 3.5cm and 12cm high. Note the highly detailed strongly printed crystal clear transfers. All three pots are in AS DUG CONDITION be...ing white and clean with flakes, chips and a hairline to the rear of the Fournissuer pot, plus some glaze crackling to all three pots caused by prolonged burial of over 100 years underground plus some wear to the base edges.Please note that the hairline is perfectly stable and has been present for many years the pot rings solid when rapped hard with the knuckles.
