Offered for your consideration is a beautiful milk glass dome covered butter dish made by Dithridge and Sons (1862-1900) in their "Verailles" pattern. The date of this design is unknown.
The butter dish base measures 7 inches (17.8 cm) in diameter and is 1.25 inches (3.2 cm) tall. The base has minor chipping/roughness to inside rim, see last photo. The lid is 4.75 inches tall (12.1 cm) is diameter and stands 4 inches (10.2 cm) tall to top of finial. The lid features a pain...ted rose design and blue trim, both of which are slightly faded or weak. The rim of lid has very minor roughness but is otherwise undamaged. There may be bubbles, a shear (straw) mark, and other minor imperfections within the glass due to the glassmaking process used at the time.
Domed butter dish will be shipped from a smoke-free home and will be packed securely for shipping.
