Vintage 1950 ' S Champ Fur Felt Fedora Hat Cap W/ Box Black 7 3/8 Runs Small Envoy

THE SWEATBAND HAS DRIED AND SHRUNKEN, AND MAKES THIS HAT FIT MORE LIKE A 7 1/4 THAN A 7 3/8 AND TO BE SAFE, I WOULD CALL IT A LARGE 7 1/8!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For sale here is a great looking Vintage 1950's or 1960's Champ Fur Felt Fedora. The Hat is complete with box. The box is marked Champ Hats and is fair overall condition with age, dust, storage wear, fading, and some rough spots. The box has done its job, as the hat is in really good condit...ion! The hat is made of black fur felt with black satin band that is tied with a bow on the left, a viking ship brass pin in the bow, and a red and black feather behind the bow. The brim of the hat is double thick rolled over. The brim is approximately 1 7/8" wide at the front. The felt does have some dust soiling, but this is minor. There are no moth nips or bites. The felt is perfect with no issues other than the light dust. The satin band is also perfect. The feather has not been mussed and is also very nice. Inside, the hat is line with white satin lining that shows some age yellow and some orange spots. The dome of the hat has a great looking metallic gold Champ logo stamped on the sweat shield. The leather sweat band is black and is marked Champ with Feel The Felt and the logo, Kasmir Finish, and Harry Tucker's Mens Shop of Chicago Ill, in gold. There is a size 7 3/8 tag in the back, and a partial paper Champ Tag that states that the hat is an Envoy in Graphite. As mentioned at the top of the listing, the sweatband has drawn up and makes the hat fit smaller than it is. The band is a little dry and has some cracking on the right side. You can see the shrinkage in the photos. DO NOT BUY THIS HAT IF YOU WEAR A 7 3/8!!! I bought this hat to wear, but it runs small, and would not work for me and i wear a 7 3/8 and can even wear some 7 1/4 's. Outside of the shrinkage, this is an amazing hat.
