~ Original ~ Enamel SignWood - Milne Rubber HeelsSave Boot BillsThis delightful, small, enamel sign for "Rubber Heels" dates from around 1900 and would have been attached outside a shop. The sign has the inevitable enamel losses and nibbles to the edges. It also has the usual scuffs, stains and scratches that you would expect from an item of this age and use. We have tried to show the condition in the photographs.The red background and white enamelling to the lettering still has dept...h of colour and some gloss; the sign does have a bend or bow to the left bottom corner, this has resulted in some spidering to the left corner . It measures 51 cm (20 inches) by 23cm (9 inches). We take great care to describe our items clearly and honestly as possible, including any faults or flaws that we may see. The photographs form part of the description. Please do take a little time to look at them. They may be enlarged for close-up detail.
