Probably Over 100 years old.Probably made by Qeen & Co., Philadelphia, USA These are a lovely pair of opera glasses(binoculars) with bone or possibly tooth composition for the eyepieces and overthe barrel of the lenses and the adjusting ring in the center. The...re are cracksor joint lines in all the bone pieces, see photos. They appear work correctlywhen you adjust the center wheel. The brass frames are tarnished and have somesmall scratches. The metal frame is notmagnetic so probably solid brass, probably not gold plated. Lenses appearundamaged. The case appears to be black stained leather with a magenta silklining. No attempt was made to clean or polish this item. The case lock and the eyepieces have notrademarks found on some models. Mostreferences date these to the early 1900's. These appear to be from Queen &Co. of Philadelphia produced between 1893 & 1912. There are no identification stamps but thelatch on the case is identical to other Q&Co. glasses on the internet. Withaccompanying handled, snap-lid, leather case.
