Cowichan Style Hand Knit Heavy Wool Zip up Thunderbird Zip Up Sweater L/XLThis is a hand kitted, home made heavy wool Cowichan style sweater. It is made from 100 % wool with a metal zipper. The design is a geometric Native American style. The colors are deeper darker earth tones. Midway between a milk and dark chocolate color. My flash has lightened the colors in my photos. Color will vary by screen.This was made sometime around the 1970s. It came from a local hom...e in central Wyoming. It will be a nice warm sweater for those snowy ski days, next to the fireplace at the lodge or cabin.No Size tag, it's 23" underarm to underarm, 30" from the seam of the shawl collar to hem. The sleeves are 18 3/4 inches long when unrolled as pictured or 16 1/4 inches when rolled. It looks like a man's size Lg/XL. Zippered & has front pockets. Zipper works fine. It's got some minor in the making knitting flaws & some light pilling. I'd say it used, but is well cared for. Was packed away.
