Vintage Antique Simple Popcorn Popper. “Atom Pop” Mfg in Fredonia, Kansas.
My sister bought this popper in Georgia and brought it to me on one of her visits. I live in Kansas and she knew I would be interested. As I approach 80, I am getting rid of a number of my collections. Quincraft Products custom spin-forms metals for a verity of customers. Making the Atom-Pop was a natural for Quincraft. The retro-design is functional and innovative. This one has never been used as you can... see from the photos.The Atom Pop is a stove top popcorn popper. It makes 2 1/2 quarts of popped corn. The conical shape and aluminum bowl allow the popcorn to be popped without stirring or shaking. The popped kernels are pushed up away from the heat and the aluminum dissipates the heat so the corn does not burn.It is as convenient as microwave popcorn and is healthier without the additives found in microwave popcorn. The bowl measures 10 1/2 inches in diameter at the top and the base is 3 3/4 inches in diameter. The handles are made from American Sycamore for attractiveness and durability. Atom Pop can be cleaned in a dishwasher. If you burn your corn, you can scour the bowl with any cleanser.This never-used Atom-Pop popcorn popper will make a nice addition to any collection.
