Unfortunately I do not know anything about this beautiful carousel horse other then it is hand carved wood. The eyes appear to be glass with what looks like shiny metal in the center. It has a hollow body, all carved wood and was beautifully re-painted (most likely around 10-15 years ago). Measured without the stand: 46" long, 54" long diagonal, 9" wide. This came out of a local estate. The late owner had lived and worked in Sarasota, Florida for Ringling Bros and B...arnum & Bailey circus in the early 1950s thru the 1960's in the art department. I am not sure where she original acquired. She had painted this horse (10-15 years ago). The horse is beautifully carved, and I have not been able to find a similar example so I do not know the maker or what style carousel horse it is.
