Up for auction is this estate-found gilded Georgian mantel mirror.
All components on it are original! Being over 100 years old, it shows substantial wear such as cracking, separation of the slats dividing the mirrors, and loss of some pieces of the filigrees, so I am starting the bidding off low.
I almost wanted to restore this beauty myself, but did not want to alter the originality of it, so I figured this task is better left to the professionals.
There are no cracks in t...he mirror panels, but there is a bit of wear in the reflectiveness on the rightmost panel.
It measures approximately 47 inches long by 16 inches tall and features five panels. The smaller panels are about 6x12 inches and the larger panel is about 12x18 inches.
This lovely mirror could be your next project and with some effort could be restored to its original splendor.
