ANTIQUE JAPANESE NETSUKE OF A FROG ON A PUMPKIN
A beautifully carved Bullfrog sat atop a pumpkin. The netsuke is finely carved form Greenstone-Soapstone and has some nice details which point to a high level of artistic craftsmanship. To the underside the item has wonderfully inlaid bone escutcheon's for the inro cord to go through and also a round inlaid bone plaque with the artists name engraved into it , a nice tactile period piece .
