Description
A probably Meiji Period bronze Japanese ojime bead with raised moulded detail of an artist painting inscription with his assistant who is a small boy. There are also some trees and other figures. This is some sort of mixed metal overlay I think (I am not an ojime expert). The inscription is impressed. Beautifully made little piece. Condition: Good. Some wear to either end where once threaded.
The piece is 3.5 cm high (approx 1¼"). Weight: 28 grams.Bidders in China and Asia please note that items with a final value in excess of £100 will be sent by courier, not Royal Mail, to ensure fully tracked delivery.
