This pitcher is in museum quality condition. All original. No chips, cracks, scratches, discolorations or other defects. The inside is very clean. The dark spots on the bottom are glaze overflow. The full motto is "The more the merrier" and on the obverse is "The fewer the better cheer". This pitcher comes from a collection of absolutely top quality Do...ulton Lambeth and Royal Doulton items.
