This is a Japanese pottery incense case, Kogo, which was made by the 1st class potter, the 14th Hosai Asahi (Hosai Matsubayashi 1921-) about 30 years ago. He is the official successor of Asahi Ware.
A tiger is molded.
The seal of the potter is stamped on the bottom. The original wooden box with the signature of the potter and his profile are also included.
Japanese incense case is called KOGO. Kogo is a kind of tea-things, and it is used to put incense into it.
