This bag is woven with all natural fibre, dyed with vegetal dyes. There is no yarn imbrication. It seems to me to have been woven in a particular way so that it could have a flap and be made as a pocketbook style. It is lined with a cotton fabric which seems to be from the 1920's or 1930's. The edge of the bag is bound with a red velvet which has become worn over time with use. A custom made mount allows it to be displayed on a wall. T...he dimensions of the bag in its closed position are 8 and 1/4 inches high X 9 and 5/8 inches wide.
