1947 Shakespeare No 1970 President Model GD fishing reel in original box. The Reel is very good + to excellent condition . It is stainless steel with what appears to be Bakelite side slabs or insets .  It is loaded with line and has been fished, but doesn't appear to be have been used a great deal .  The operation is good.  The main defects are a few cosmetic scratches and marks .  The Box may or may not be original to the reel, but fits the reel very well.  It... shows some wear and aging .
