*Antique vintage 1930 baby doll outfit*Dress, bonnet, purse & handkerchief, 4 piece set*Fine cotton Batiste*Blue polka dots
Presented here is an adorable antique outfit for a 20 to 26" doll. This is made of fine cotton Batiste in white with blue trim and blue polka dots. The dress has a yoke bodice with a wide circular collar. The collar has blue dots and a ruffled trim with a scalloped edge and embroidered open-work which is hand done drawn-work accented with a ...blue embroidery thread. It has ruffled cap sleeves with blue dots. The dress opens in the back, the back seam has been opened all the way ( has a raw edge), closes with a single button at the neck. The dress measures; 14 1/2" long from shoulder to hem, has a 4" wide hand sewn hem, under arms 18" around, shoulders 7" across seams, sweep at hem 38". The dress is clean, sturdy, no stains, no tears. There is a good size area on one back side that has an old re-weave, all hand woven (a remarkable job and shows well, still an old repair), see last photo.
The bonnet has blue dots, a 2 3/4" wide bias cut brim with trim matching the dress. The crown is shaped with darts. The circumference is 16" on the seam before the brim. Measures; 7 1/2" front to back folded flat, 7" high in the crown folded flat, the face ruffle or brim is 25" around the edge. One small light rust spot on the lining of the face ruffle near the seam.
The purse is blue dots, made with a pinked raw edge, still has the original blue silk ribbon handle, 6" long, 5 1/2" wide, 4" drop. Excellent vintage condition
Also comes with a dainty handkerchief of the same Batiste with a 1/4" lace edge. It is 5 1/2" x 6". No damage.
