Imperial Navy" ("Atlas des Deutschen Reichsheeres und der Kaiserlichen Marine"
by Carl Henckel - 1901) Carl Henckel originally released his landmark "Atlas des Deutschen Reichsheeres..." in 1901. It was published as both a large format book, with foldout pages and a large format folio; both having the same colourized prints of German Army and Navy dress uniforms of the day. The information it... contains is hugely valuable and a feast for the eyes. The images below are mere sampling. Understandably, originals and even the later reprints of these most wonderful works are astronomically priced. As a reference, Henckel's work is comprehensive, showing the Prussian Army and Navy, as well as the various Kingdoms, Principalities and Dukedoms that made up the German Reich at that time. Though, strangely, two pages are purposely omitted; pages 27 and 30, as can be seen in the index, below, which has been adapted directly from the original folio. I have never received an adequate explanation regarding the omission of these pages. As it is, a valuable reference for militaria collector, wargamer and modeller; not to be missed! This atlas is published in the highly accessible Adobe Adrobat .pdf format on CDROM. SHIPPING & PAYMENT 1. It is an unpleasant truth that mailing costs from Canada are expensive.
