This offering is for a pair of antique original early 1800's Federal Split Newel Posts. Each post half measures app. 42.75" in overall length. The posts were cut and turned from a single block of wood that was then split from top to bottom, the two halves still go together to form a complete unit. The paint finish is very early and appears to likely be the original or a very early second surface. There is typical minor wear and small losses but no breaks, splits or cracks. The brown an...d white paint has a fantastic crazed surface that is very appealing. I think these would have used to flank either side of a doorway entryway. The buyer will pay a fixed amount of $ 50.00 for Standard Mail and we will include delivery confirmation, tracking, at no additional cost.
