Antique Rare Large 27” Jenny Lind Civil War Era German China Doll W Fancy Dress

Gorgeous and rare 27” Jenny Lind china doll dating from the 1860’s. Her head and shoulderplate are without damage and measure 6” high by 5.5” wide. There is some loss to the paint of the Hair in the back, which is common. Her dress has age to it, possibly from the Victorian era, and features hundreds, if not thousands, of glass beads. Some are unusual and crescent-shaped. A handful fell off when I unwrapped her and it’s probably because a string is loose in one part of the dr...ess. Her clothing is sewn on but her body or leather hands don’t have leakages. She’s wearing an interesting pair of antique shoes.
This is a slight-after Doll that was supposed to resemble the famous “Swedish nightingale.” The largest Jenny Lind I’ve ever had.
