A lovely Antique Victorian Walnut Veneered Jewellery/Trinket Box with Tunbridge Bands and other Inlay. It has its original brass working lock with keep and key. The hinges are brass but appear to be replacements.
The size of the box is 23 cm x 16 cm x 10 cm (approx. 9.25" x 6.5" x 4").
The interior of the box is lined out in a lovely red paper and the underside of the lid and inside base of the box are covered in a very nice red velvet material. The underside of... the box is covered in a black felt/baize material for the protection of furniture.
As you would expect with an item of this age it does have some marks, wear etc. and one veneer repair to the back lower corner.
