Original Description:
This helmet is all-original  moleskin body with a leather top. and features a great overall authentic vintage depiction. It has no holes or rips but shows nice game use. This particular helmet was required from the family of a former University of Missouri player. This style helmet was first produced in 1904.  After an email consultation with an authenticator,  The opinion is a Draper & Maynard flattop dating to the mid-1910’s.  T...he leather patch on the ear pad is typical of D & M.  The inside looks good. The wool lining inside is still intact and it even has the original chin strap. A perfect collector's piece and a great example of football's earliest equipment.
