Antique German Violin Bow Signed Dodd

FINE ANTIQUE GERMAN DODD VIOLIN BOW
The caveat is that I am not a musician and do not know much about this wonderful antique violin bow marked faintly, Dodd, but it has been acquired from the estate of a professional violinist. The violins were sold but later this and other bows were discovered. This bow is 28-7/8" long in total, but I'm measuring from tip to tip and this may not be the proper measuring criteria. It is made of wood and is stampe...d faintly, dd, but there is a sticker from the former owner identifying it as Dodd. I see no other marks. There are a few hairs broken and the bow most certainly would need to be re-haired. The frog and button are ebony with silver trim and mother of pearl inlay. The stick is straight. There is a break in the wood at the tip, which I have photographed for you, above. I presume this bow is made by this noted manufacturer for professional musicians, but my own lack of knowledge makes this a guess. It weighs 58 grams.
