This is a beautiful antique Edwardian period circa 1910 silver gilt filagree butterfly brooch.
The brooch has an 800 stamp on the back for continental silver. The width is 4.8 cm ( just under two inches ) and the pin and C type clasp are in good working condition and original. The pin is slightly bent.
