This listing is for a right handed 38 " hickory wood shaft antique vintage iron. Marked St Andrews Special and Mid Iron on the back. 28* Loft and E 3 swingweight for play. The head is in good clean condition. It does have the expected play nicks and dings. Please look at the many zoom picture for a better idea of condition. The hickory shaft is straight, I see no cracks and it is tight at the hosel. All hickory shaft irons should be reset prior to p...lay. The grip is a newer rough side out long leather wrap that is in fair vintage condition with some separation and tape at the bottom. Please keep in mind that while I see no visible damage issues (other than those mentioned above) with the shaft, the old hickory shafts are liable to break at any time and I cannot guarantee them. Whipping should be added at the appropriate places to help prevent breakage. Never hit range balls with the old woods as the heads are liable to explode at any time. Never hit any old hickory shafted club off a driving range mat. Shipping in the US is calculated for this item and based on a 2 pound box. The closer you are to me in NC (27712 zip) the less shipping will be. This is the way the carriers work and unfortunately shipping has become more expensive recently. On top of that, most buyers don't realize that eBay and Paypal take almost 15% of what I receive as stated shipping (out of $10 I only receive $8.50). International shipping is also calculated.
