Description: Here is a genuine antique stomacher featuring approx. 4.50ctw of old cut diamonds. It is quite large, handcrafted with a silver top, and 14k yellow gold bottom & findings. All stones are very white, 2 larger stones are approx. 0.70cts (each), along with many 0.25-0.30ct stones as well. Lets not forget all the lustrous pearls, highly collectible! Please note: chain shown in images is NOT included in this auction Stomachers were large jewelry pieces made to be worn on the bodice, you can look the history of these on google. Condition: Mounting has a split where the two vines come together & there is 1 small rose cut diamond missing from the setting (see pics). Gold & silver show overall surface wear & considerable toning. It has a bail on the back that appears to have been hinged, but is soldered in a fixed downward position. Pin bar, hinge & catch work properly.
