Offered for sale is this antique Theodore Haviland Limoges French porcelain oval covered tureen, decorated with swags of pink roses and double gold. The blank is number 121, which is a beautiful blank. I can't find this exact pattern in my Schleiger books - it looks like a variant of 1114. I have more pieces in this pattern listed separately, the last pictures shows some of them all together, and I discount combined shipping, so please browse my other listings. The tureen is just over 11.25 inches long from handle to handle, and is approximately 5 inches tall.
It is in excellent condition. There are no chips, no cracks, no fleabites, no repairs. There is some very minor gold wear. There are a couple of spots of manufacturing residue in the glaze on the lid - the tip of the pen is pointing to them. There are a few of the typical minor manufacturing flaws you get with antique Haviland - underglaze specks in the porcelain and similar - it was made like this. Please see the close up pictures.
