Original Description:
This auction is for a beautiful, seemingly brand spanking new Courtland Vehicle, a Moving Van, with Open WInd Up Spring Motor. It was made by Walter Reach, owner of Courtland who had a burning desire to be know as the second Louis Marx. It is as sharp as it was the day it was made back in 1944 as it was never sold, played with nor touched for the past 75 years. It comes complete with it's original box. As you can see, the one end of the box is missing but never the less, most of the bo...x looks very nice. It's been stored safely away in our warehouse for the past 75 years approx. As you can see, this thing is perfect. I seriously doubt that a better example of this particular truck exists anywhere today. This one is absolutely the nicest of any that you'll find anywhere. It looks brand spanking new and it's box is just as nice. I think that's the most amazing part. This cardboard box, has not only survived 75 years, but looks exactly as it did when we had them for sale. My Grandfather sold these old metal toys back when he ran our hardware store. This one has not been out of his box in the past 70 years. I had one when I was a kid. I had all his toys that he sold. I loved them all and even back then I knew they were old. These were manufactured in Camden New Jersey and then later In Philadelphia. I will be starting with this one at $500 and slowly lower the price if necessary. I think of all that has changed since then in our world. I know whoever buys this little wind up truck will be pleased with his condition. Initially I will not be taking offers but please don't be afraid to reach out and ask questions.Thank you again for watching and please make the DENVER SUPPLY one of your favorite vendors so you can readily and frequently drop by. Thank you again for your interest and your if there's something in particular that you're looking for, let me check it out. I still have hundreds upon hundreds of nodders to list from my last purchase.

One final thought, I guarantee and promise satisfaction with each and every item that we ever sell. This hobby, as in any hobby, is supposed to bring us joy and entertainment. No one should ever have to feel bad about a purchase nor a sale. So if you EVER buy ANYTHING from us, and decide in a day or two that it's not what you wanted, nor what you hoped, nor what you expected it to be, simply return it, in the same condition and in a timely manner, and I will issue a complete 100% refund. I have 14 nodders from when I was a child. Of course they were a buck or two back then and my Mother would allow me to buy one every time we went to the Ephrata Children's Boy Store for school clothing. I still indeed do have all the original members of this gathering purchased for me, as a small boy, by my Mother. I took painstaking care of these little guys even then. I even hid this fact from my friends for fear of them making fun of me for playing with dolls? I gently stuffed newspaper in their heads to keep them safe from damage. So each and everyone of these guys turned out negative on my black light test. Then, I purchased numerous nodders off an auction house. Sometimes they identify when, and if, a piece that they're selling, has been restored, but not always. They look beautiful, as advertised, but when subjected to your little black light test, BOOM, there it is. Without the aid of that black light, I couldn't tell which of my Black Faced Phillies had been restored? They are both beautiful, and shiney, and mint, and have vibrant colors. But when the black light hits it, there are your spots of color that someone painted on. And you know what? That's fine. They belong to you. You may certainly fix them up, paint them up, cover up a nick, scratch, pin hole, whatever, to your own choosing and preference. Feel free to do whatever you like. But the problem now lies, if and when you should decide to sell them. Because now you have an obligation to at least share this. Now they've been restored and this is going to help sell it for some people, and discourage other people from buying it. It works both ways. I don't mind owning and displaying mint nodders in my personal collection that have been professional restored. Don't mind it one little bit. But it's far easier for me to sell and get huge prices from the mint ones that have NEVER been restored. That's what I make my living off of. Those are both super rare, super hard to find, and SUPER EXPENSIVE, but they sell. So get yourself a black light please, you'll be an expert in no time and you'll be glad that you did. A 30 Watt Black Light can be purchased on Amazon for $30.00 and it's more then big enough. I would never ever be without mine again. They even sell blacklight flashlights. They're not big enough for at home but it you're going to a cardshow and thinking about buying one, stick it in your pocket and sneak a quick look before paying the gentleman. If you're a nodder collector, this is an absolute must for your own satisfaction as well as protection. It's simply too easy. Thanks again and keep in touch...……………..Barry
