This incredibly rare vintage carved Lapis Lazuli and 14k Yellow Gold Pendant is exquisitely intricate and ornate. The Lapis is carved into a woman wearing flowing robes and holding bouquets of roses. She could represent the Chinese Goddess Kwan Yin, the goddess of compassion and mercy. The wirework which frames the goddess is hammered and shapes into swirls, giving the appearance that she is floating in the clouds. The pendant measures 2 inches by... 2.75 inches. The bail of the pendant is stamped 14k 585. The pendant hangs from a gold chain that is 14k Gold Plated. It is stamped 14KGP. The chain is not original to the piece.
