1866 ORIGINAL Animal Trap Patent Model. US History Antique 1800s Rare. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
Patent 53, 164 issued by the United States Patent Office.
Granted to Charles Melone, of Lawrence, Kansas in 1866. Improvement in Animal Traps.
Received this piece from my grandfather, it sat wrapped up in a box for a very long time just waiting to be found. It was traced back from the estate that received it from the patent office where it was auctioned off to my grandfathe...r through O. Rundle Gilbert Auctioneers.
Print out of the patent will be provided that I was able to find very quickly online if you would like to print it out nicely for display. I can even forward you the pdf if you prefer.
There are some some dings and missing screws. When I moved it around it sounded like glass so I did carefully open the bottom where I found the contents in the ziplock bag. It is broken glass that was a part of the patent as written in the specification of the patent. Don’t miss out this one of a kind amazing piece of US history that is over 150 years old!!! Selling as-is since I am not a restorer, please look at the photos carefully and ask questions.
