SPARES OR REPAIRS CONDITION ROCKFORD 18 SIZE 9 JEWEL MODEL 1 LEVER SET FANCY DRESS MOVEMENT WITH ITS ORIGINAL DIAL NEEDS TLC!Serial Number: 28, 246. Circa: 1876.THANK YOU for considering our early and mostly complete but currently non-running condition Rockford 18 size, open face or hunter case (can fit in either, 9 jewels, Model 1, Grade unknown, raised gold jewel settings, gold mean balance screws, full gilt plate, key wind, key set fancy dress movement with its original dial. This h...ighly collectible Rockford is in need of a major overhaul or else can be parted out. The balance staff is good, it is wound tight so the mainspring may be good, and it has all its parts except a case screw, a pillar screw, and the cowling for the key-wind apparatus. Appearance-wise this fine old Rockford is looking okay, with full gilt plates, clean and correct early patented blued "free" regulator needle, and ready and waiting for TLC or for parts!! The movement does show very minor and ordinary wear with no signs of abuse! The dial is its original single sunk enamel Roman numeral with hairlines at the center area and seconds register.
