To my understanding, this is a late WWII or post WWII army helmet. I bought it at the army surplus store as a kid in the 1970's. I don't know if this helmet was worn in combat, but it was definitely used when I bought it. I wore it a couple of times when playing army, but all the dents, scuffs, etc. were on there already.
Condition ...is exactly as pictured. Helmet does not come with a liner.
