LARGE PAIR ANTIQUE FRENCH 2 BRANCH EMPIRE GILT BRONZE CANDLE WALL SCONCES

These are an elegant pair of large antique French wall candle sconces. Made in gilt bronze with a warm patina and in good antique condition and dating to around1920. The design is classic French Empire with scrolling acanthus leaves and swags details. They have a bracket hole mounting at the rear for wall hanging.They were converted to electrical use and could be reconverted if desired. T...hey each measure 15.5 ins [40cms] high without candles, 10 ins [26cms] wide and stand out 6 ins [15cms] from the wall. These splendid antique French wall candle sconces would suit both a period or contemporary setting.
