Item comes as pictured thanks for looking. I am not a expert on these so i will explain the best i can it does reel freely and the bail goes in and out, when you move the switch on the back it reels quiet in one position and the other it clicks.The lever for casting does lock in place when fliped to the side. I think this was made in 1960 the serial number on the foot is 3464950.
