You are bidding an original early 1960's era patch for the Guppy conversion diesel submarine USS Trumpetfish SS-425. LARGE PATCH...over 6 inches tall! Has a canvas style backing consistent with Japanese made patches. This was removed from a deck jacket....very hard to find. I've never seen another original like it. I was in the US Navy submarine force for 21 years and collected thousands of original patches. I joined during the period when the most senior folks were Vietnam Vets and ea...rlier so the majority of my patches are from the 1960's to the mid 2000's. Please check my other auctions for more original patches.
