Very Rare African American Post WW1 1920 ' S Officer Promotion Documents Historic
Item History & Price
Reference Number: Avaluer:408281 |
Recent Estate Find. These two Presidential promotion documents are named to a "William G. Rich". He was an African American soldier in the 1920's and 1930's. I believe he achieved the rank of Captain before leaving active service. He also served in WWII as a Sergeant. I have not fully researched this gentleman, but believe his service number is 32881501. One document is dated 1928 and the other is from 1931. Both are signed. We have a fairly detailed family history of the "Rich" family... that we'll be listing in the coming weeks.
