Original Description:
THIS IS AN ANTIQUE TOOL CALLED A TOBACCO SPEAR THAT WAS ONCE AND STILL IS USED IN THE HARVESTING OF BROAD LEAF TOBACCO. THE TOOL IS PLACED ON THE END OF A WOODEN LATH OR STAKE AND THE HARVESTED TOBACCO PLANTS ARE PIERCED AND BASICALLY THREADED ONTO THE STAKE FOR DRYING.  THE TOOL MEASURES ABOUT 5 1/2" LONG AND IS IN GOOD PRIMITIVE CONDITION.   WOULD BE GREAT FOR A COLLECTION, PERIOD DECORATING, ETC.  SEE PICS AND MY OTHER ITEMS ON AUCTION THIS WEEK.
