This proud Standing Horse Carousel Animal from the Franklin Mint very rarely comes up for auction. It's an exciting part of the Golden Carousel Collection from the House of Faberge, created in the artistic tradition of Peter Carl Faberge, master goldsmith and jeweler to European royalty. It is sculptured in fine porcelain and lavishly painted with brilliant 24 karat gold. The standing horses were typically one of... the largest animals on the carousel, usually on the outside row. They were about 60" in height and were intricately carved and decorated, resulting in them being most prized of all the figures. This Faberge carousel horse is shown with a colorful, intricately detailed blanket and saddle. Because these House of Faberge carousels come up for auction so rarely they are especially sought after. It's in beautiful condition, no chips, repairs, cracks or wear, and has spent its entire time away from direct sunlight in a non smoking, pet-free home. The Certificate of Authenticity is included. Dimensions: 3.75" Width, 4.5" Height, 1.5" Depth. Other carousel animals and horses from my collection are listed, along with several Joan Rivers and Kenneth Jay Lane jewelry items.
