Dinky Toys No. 490 Electric Dairy Van "Express Dairy "Code 3. The model is in wonderful restored condition. The restoration consisted of repainting the van body and replacing the front decal with an excellent reproduction. The base plate, hubs and now age hardened tires are original to the model. In all a great example that displays very well.
The original box is in fair condition as it is missing one end and on inner flap (also on that end). It is the correc...t box for the model and has the correct color dot corresponding to the model's color. In all a decent box for this model.
In summary an excellent way to add an unusual model to your Dinky or electric vehicle collection.
A note about Code 3 models. There seems to be some confusion about what constitutes a code 3 versus a re-issue. Code 3 models are original models, many produced well over a half-century ago that have been meticulously restored to their original standards. They are not Asian copies of these same models mass produced in factories today.
Purchase in complete confidence from a fellow collector (not dealer) and long-term eBayer. All questions promptly answered.
